Sweet singing by The Session Singers on this album, which is dedicated to The Carpenters and features twelve of the songs they have made famous.
Karen and Richard Carpenter are probably the most popular vocal group today: the appeal of their uniquely soft, smooth styling is universal. Their impact has indeed been world-wide, with total sales of albums and singles in excess of twenty million.
Until recently, The Carpenters’ big hits were by other writers, but Richard has now written three particularly successful song s-“Top of the World”, “Yesterday Once More” and “Goodbye to Love”.
We hope you will enjoy The Session Singers’ interpretation of these and the other beautiful ballads on this very appealing album.
